Hunter Safety Course/Canadian
P.A.L. Firearm Safety Course

When:         January 5 & 6, 2019

Age Requirements: Participants must be at least 12 years of age.

In Canada, all applicants for a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) or a Minor’s Licence must have an adequate knowledge of firearm laws and safe-handling practices. To be eligible to apply for a PAL, applicants must have passed the written and practical tests for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC).

The Ontario Hunter Education Program will assist you to understand the natural world and become a knowledgeable and responsible hunter. The program provides introduction information about:

  • ecosystems and wildlife management
  • hunting laws and regulations
  • hunter responsibilities
  • identification, biology, management of and hunting techniques for big game, small game and waterfowl
  • hunting and survival equipment
