Niigaan-Naabiwag ( Looking Ahead) Child Care Center is a licensed by the Ministry of Education. We run a transition program for the junior kindergarten children of our community. This program is run by the Child Care teachers and children are taught the junior kindergarten curriculum. We are licensed for 27 children, 0-2.5 years in our infant-toddler room, and 2.5-6 years in our preschool room/ junior kindergarten room. We adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act,  and the Canadian Food Guide and serve two snacks and a daily hot lunch. Each child is encouraged to express themselves through physical, emotional, social and cognitive activity. We also have cultural programs for our children such as drumming, dancing & native language. We provide speech therapy for children of our center, through the Family Speech Clinic and stay closely connected to York Region children’s services.
